Three charged with first-degree murder after west-end shooting

TORONTO – Three people are facing first-degree murder charges after a 21-year-old man was fatally shot in the west-end Monday.

Police say officers found Yusuf Ahmed of Toronto suffering from gunshot wounds to his upper body outside an apartment building near Albion Road and Weston Road around 3 p.m.

Ahmed was taken to hospital, where he died of his injuries.

Police told CityNews the shooting was targeted and several men were seen arguing with the victim before multiple shots were fired.

Investigators arrested and charged Emmanuel Ansah, 19, of Toronto later Monday afternoon.

Two young people are also charged with first-degree murder.
