MLSE making bid to host 2016 NBA All-Star game: reports

Just as the Western Conference managed a 143-138 win over the Eastern Conference in Sunday night’s NBA All-Star game, reports have come out suggesting Toronto would like to host the event.

The Toronto Sun is reporting that Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment has thrown its hat in the ring for the chance to host the 2016 NBA All-Star game.

MLSE has tried to host the game in previous years, however there had been concerns over whether the Air Canada Centre would be big enough to accommodate the influx of stars, media and fans.

MLSE says they have expanded their capabilities and that is no longer a concern, however it remains to be seen if the league will agree with that assessment.

Along with the ball players, the NBA All-Star weekend generally plays host to some big A-list stars who come to party and be seen with the NBA’s best players.
