Magic evening for dads and daughters alike at the annual 680News Father Daughter Ball

It was a night to remember for many dads and their little girls Saturday night, as the second annual 680News Father Daughter Ball was hosted at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel.

Raising money for prostate cancer research, the ball featured the daughters dressed in elegant gowns with their fathers dressed in their finest attire.

For some of the young participants like Mackenzie, even the thought of going to the ball was too much to handle.

“I was so excited, and I said to my dad, I don’t think I’m even going to make it there because I’m so excited,” she said.

Some of the father-daughter pairings spared no expense to make it a special night, taking in the whole evening in style.

“We rented a limousine, we came down together, we got dressed up and the girls have had an amazing time,” Scott said.

The highlight of the night for most seemed to be the same special moment.

“Dancing with my dad,” said one girl.

“Spending a wonderful time with my dad at the dance,” said another.

There were also other perks besides the dance with dad, ranging from dessert to entering the silent auction.

“Getting my ice-cream sundae,” said one girl.

“I really wanted to win the makeup kit, I love makeup!” said another.

The event raises money for Prostate Cancer Canada.
