It looks like city council needs to improve its study habits.
The Toronto Taxpayers Coalition has handed out their annual “report card,” and they decided to give city council a ‘C-Minus’.
Mayor Rob Ford, meanwhile, was handed a solid ‘B’.
Taxpayer Coalition President Matthew McGuire says the “report card is the taxpayer’s measure of how their city council is performing.”
The coalition is a group that advocates for lower taxes and reduced spending, generally giving right-wind councillors an edge in their ‘grades’.
The highest-scoring councillors were Doug Holyday, Cesar Palacio and Denzil Minnan-Wong, who all received an A+.
A number of councillors received the grade of ‘F’ from the coalition.
