Temperature record unofficially set for November 11

We have unofficially broken a temperature record in Toronto that dates back to 1938.

Reports indicate the mercury has reached 17.8 C in Toronto, nearly a degree warmer than the previous record of 17.2 C, set in 1938.

The 74-year-old record was surpassed mid-afternoon Sunday, providing perfect temperatures for the Remembrance Day memorial ceremonies.
