Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis in town for the Toronto premiere of “The Campaign”

TORONTO, Ont. – Funnymen Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis pulled out all the stops for the Canadian premiere of their new film “The Campaign.”

It was a very Canadian red carpet premiere, complete with a Zamboni and even the Toronto Maple Leafs mascot Carlton the Bear.

“You guys don’t worry, hot coffee and parkas are coming out any minute now. We’re going to bring some space heaters in here,” Ferrell joked.

He and co-star Galifianakis joked with the press before the big event.

Earlier in the day the two arrived at the Hockey Hall of Fame riding the Zamboni.  Mayor Rob Ford then presented them with miniature Stanley Cups and offered them some campaign advice.

“Just keep going hard. Don’t hit babies though, you’ll lose the campaign for sure on that one,” joked the Mayor referring a scene from the film.

Ferrell told 680News that if he were running a campaign for Galifiniakis he would not have to do much.

“Zach is a man of the people. He’s a very affective campaigner. In fact, one of the stops he actually handed out his own money to people and didn’t ask for it back. He’s very generous.”

The Campaign hits theatres on August 10.
