TORONTO, Ont. – The City of Toronto has asked the province to use all of its powers of persuasion to convince the federal government to keep some of the information gathered through the long-gun registry.
Council voted 39-5, Wednesday, in favour of asking the province to do everything in its power to stop the deletion of all the data.
There was no debate on the issue.
Mayor Rob Ford, meanwhile, voted against the motion.
