Food bank struggles to meet spring goal

TORONTO, Ont. – The Daily Bread Food Bank is struggling to meet the goal for this year’s spring food drive.

Officials with the Food Bank confirmed donations are at an all-time low, as they are only 30 per cent of the way to their food goal and 60 per cent of the way to their financial goal at this point.

As a result, the drive has been extended to Sunday April 15.

Food donations can be dropped off at local fire halls or major grocery stores, while monetary donations can be made online by visiting the Daily Bread web site.
