Man dies after he fell into water at Harbourfront

A 20-year-old man was pronounced dead in hospital after he was pulled out of Lake Ontario at the foot of Yonge Street Friday morning.
Police were called to the area of Queens Quay and Yonge for reports of a man in the water around 4 a.m. The man was rushed to St. Michael’s Hospital without vital signs.
It’s believed the man was with a friend and was trying to dip his hand in the water when he fell in.
The homicide unit was monitoring the investigation, but police said Friday night the death is not considered suspicious.
An autopsy is scheduled for Saturday.
