NDP tables bill proposing guaranteed income supplement for seniors

The NDP has tabled a bill that would automatically register seniors to receive the guaranteed income supplement.
New Democrat MP Laurin Liu said about 135,000 low-income seniors are missing out on the government top-up because of administrative hurdles.
The bill aims to make good on a party election promise.
