Man arrested for making death threat to TTC bus driver

TORONTO, Ont. – A 23-year-old man has been arrested, accused of threatening to stab a TTC bus driver.

Police said a bus driver on the Kipling Avenue route was was approached around 7:15 p.m. Monday by a customer who wouldn’t pay the fare.

Another person on the bus heard the conversation and stepped up to pay it.

The accused then reportedly told the driver he would be stabbed and cut up.

This incident comes after a TTC fare collector was shot following an attempted robbery at Dupont subway station on Sunday night.
