Tenants from 200 Wellesley treated to Thanksgiving dinner

TORONTO, Ont. – Tenants who remain homeless following a six alarm blaze in a community housing highrise in September were treated to a Thanksgiving dinner Sunday evening.

The feast, which was served at a downtown Ramada Inn, was hosted by Toronto Community Housing and the Social Housing Services Corporation.

More than 600 tenants from 200 Wellesley St. E. enjoyed chicken, potatoes, stuffing, spicy rice and pumpkin pie.

Toronto Community Housing Chairman David Mitchell promised the dinner guests that a meeting will be held shortly to discuss the condition of the building.
