Port Credit OPP continue to look for driver and vehicle following crash on 410

BRAMPTON, Ont. – Provincial police continue to ask for the public’s help in locating a driver and a vehicle following a four car crash, which left one woman dead and another in critical condition.

The OPP believe a compact car was travelling westbound on Steeles just after 2 p.m. Saturday, when it turned onto the southbound entry ramp to the 410.

Once on the 410, the car allegedly rear ended a small grey Mazda, pushing it into a black pick up truck.

The impact of the crash then sent the Mazda through the median, where it collided head on with a transport truck headed north.

A 51 year old female driver of the Mazda was killed, while her 53 year old passenger from Mississauga remains at Sunnybrook with life threatening injuries.

Police believe the driver of the original compact car stopped briefly before taking off, and say this is a case of failure to remain. The vehicle is described as a sky blue and grey mix, and is either a Honda or Acura. It should have damage on its front end.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the OPP Highway Safety Division in Port Credit at (905) 278-6131.
