Firefighters battle two alarm industrial blaze

TORONTO – Toronto firefighters battled a two alarm blaze in an industrial area at Cherry Street and Villiers Street, Saturday afternoon.
Toronto fire told 680News they responded to a report of a fire, shortly before 1 p.m., and when they arrived they found there was the possibility of chemical involvement.
Ernie Thorn District Chief Car 33 said the fire was small but with the possible chemical involvement more units were called in as a safety precaution.
Twelve units responded to the fire, that blocked off traffic on Cherry Street at Commissioners Street.
According to Thorn, the fire is not considered suspicious.
