TORONTO, Ont. – It’s probably best to stay away from the downtown core this weekend if you can.
But if you have to make your way through the city’s centre, police are advising you to be careful.
Officer Tony Vella told 680News there will be a lot of congestion.
“Expect traffic delays in the downtown core. There are some road closures and what you want to do is give yourself ample time to get to your destination. As well, respect other drivers if there is a traffic jam. You will expect a lot of officers in the area as you can see and then again it’s all because of public safety.”
Delays are also expected at the airport. If you are traveling this weekend you are being advised to arrive extra early ahead of your flight time.
