UR Enough - October Community Hero680 NEWS would like to congratulate Kelsey and Mandi from UR Enough for being our Community Hero for the month of October! UR Enough is an organization and running group that has become a mental health movement through the power of conversation. Because there are too few of us that feel we are enough, and there are too many of us that feel alone in their story. There is an unmet need of resources within our community that build resilience and foster empowerment. Both resilience and empowerment act as a process to build personal strength, courage, and vision. UR Enough shares real stories from real people and as a collective movement their group is running the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon/Half-Marathon to raise money and cultivate a feeling of enough-ness!

Camp BUCKO - September Community Hero680 NEWS would like to congratulate Camp BUCKO on being our 680 NEWS Community Hero for the month of September!
Camp BUCKO (Burn Camp for Kids in Ontario) is a fun, safe and caring camp program free to kids ages 7 to 17 with burn injuries. We loved hearing about the after-burn care they offer and how their camp is a place where kids need not cover up, or otherwise hide their scars, but they can be open, they can actively talk about their feelings and feel free to ask one another about their burn.
Camp BUCKO is a registered charity run through generous donations from Firefighters Associations, service groups, and other public and private organizations!
