York Regional Police say in a press release one of their officers has been charged with fraud as they were “working as a realtor during his scheduled YRP working hours.”

30-year-old Markham man, Constable Jamil Saade, was charged with fraud under $5,000 after an internal investigation by the Professional Standards Bureau.

Saade is scheduled to make a court appearance in Newmarket on August 3rd.

York police say the officer has been a member of the force since 2013, and most recently worked in the Information Management Unit.

Century 21 Leading Edge Realty lists ‘Antonio Saade’ on their website as a sales representative out of Markham, Ontario.
