On Wednesday, police said a second suspect was located in Fort McMurray, Alta., with the assistance of Wood Buffalo RCMP.

Twenty-three-year-old London, Ont., resident Malik Essue has been charged with First-Degree Murder, police said.

“Malik Essue will be brought back to Peel Region in answer to the charge,” police said in a news release Thursday.

Police said the investigation continues, and are asking anyone with information to contact them directly or leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers.
