Special mobile vaccine clinic making 4 stops at Scarborough businesses Friday

By Dilshad Burman

The Scarborough Health Network and Scarborough Ontario Health Team is partnering with local businesses in the Warden and Eglinton avenues area to run a special mobile clinic that will make multiple stops in the community Friday.

The initiative is called ‘Dash for Doses – Eglinton Relay’ – where “two teams will be working together relay style,” they said in a release. One team will start canvassing at each location to inform people about the mobile clinic and then hand off to the second team which will set up and administer vaccines.

When and where:

  • Donway Ford, 1975 Eglinton Avenue East – 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
  • Lowes, 800 Warden Avenue – 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
  • Adonis, 20 Ashtobee Road – 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Golden Mile Plaza, 1880 Eglinton Avenue East – 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The mobile clinic will administer first doses of the Pfizer vaccine and has 400 doses available. People 12 years and older from all Scarborough postal codes are eligible and will be served on a first-come, first-served basis. No appointments are necessary. An OHIP card or government issued ID is not mandatory but proof of address is required.
