A 28-year-old man has serious but not life-threatening injuries after a drive-by shooting in south Etobicoke on Monday.
Police said they were called to Thirty Seventh Street, near Brown’s Line and Lake Shore Boulevard, around 8:30 a.m. for reports of multiple shots fired in the area.
When police arrived, they found bullet holes in a Hyundai and shell casings at the scene.
Police said the victim was the lone occupant of the vehicle.
According to police, it appears to be a targeted shooting and that one vehicle was possibly following the other.
Police say a passenger in the suspect vehicle — a black hatchback with two people inside — opened fire from the passenger side window. The vehicle then fled the scene heading westbound.
