Toronto firefighters and paramedics are stepping up to help run mobile vaccination clinics in the city.
Starting this week, they’ll be deployed with physicians and healthcare professionals.
The paramedics will serve as vaccine loaders and immunizers, while firefighters will manage logistics, client screening, registration and after-care support.
Several hospitals in the city are holding vaccination clinics on Monday including Humber River Hospital, with a pop-up clinic at Downsview Arena for those 18 and older who
live or work in the M3J, M3K, M3M and M3N hot spots.

Some residents in Ajax will also be able to book their COVID-19 vaccine appointments starting Monday.
The Durham Region Health Department says residents 18 and older who live in the L1X hot spot postal code can sign up for their shots beginning at 9 this evening.
The first rotating clinic for that hot spot will be held at Pineridge Secondary School on Liverpool Road this Thursday through Saturday.
Residents can sign up online at Durham.ca/vaccineappointment.
Pop-up clinics will open in other hot spots next month.
