2 treated for smoke inhalation after fire at College and Ossington

One person had to be rescued from the top floor of a building that went up in flames in the College and Ossington area on Monday afternoon.

Toronto Fire were called just after 3 p.m. for reports of a structure fire and person trapped.

The three-alarm fire on the top floor of the building forced police to close area roads. The streets have since reopened for TTC vehicles.

Toronto Fire says one tenant was rescued from the top floor while another had to be assisted down. Both were treated by paramedics on scene for smoke inhalation.

The cause of the blaze has not yet been determined.
