7-year-old girl found safe following Amber Alert issued Wednesday

An Amber Alert issued for an abducted girl in Bayfield, Ontario has been cancelled.

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) says the girl has been found safe.

The seven-year-old had been missing since 6 a.m. Wednesday, police said.

She was allegedly abducted by her 30-year-old mother.

There was no immediate word on where she was found and it’s unclear if the mother will face any charges.

Bayfield is a community in the southwestern Ontario town of Bluewater.
