Monday morning made for a chilly start to the week with freezing rain in some areas of the GTA but the winter air won’t stick around for long.
A warm stretch of spring-like weather begins on Monday for Southern Ontario with double-digit temperatures expected later in the week.
680 NEWS meteorologist Jill Taylor says temperatures will be well above seasonal by Monday afternoon as we climb to a guaranteed high of 8 degrees with double-digits possible. The average high this time of year is 3 degrees.

Another high near 10 degrees for Tuesday and then we could see temperatures reach 13 for Wednesday and Thursday.
The last time Toronto cracked 10 degrees was Nov. 29.
