Sudbury ticket holder wins $70 million Lotto Max jackpot

A ticket holder in Sudbury won Friday night’s whopping $70 million Lotto Max jackpot.

The winning numbers were 11, 17, 19, 22, 27, 31, 40, and the bonus number 38.

This is the sixth time that the maximum jackpot has been won in Canada and the fourth time it’s been won in Ontario since the jackpot cap was increased in May, 2019.

Maxmillion tickets worth $1 million each were also sold in Simcoe County, Mississauga, North York, and Woodbridge while one of those prizes was split between two lottery players, one of those in Ajax.

Winning Maxmillion tickets were also sold in Quebec, British Columbia and the Prairies.

The jackpot for the next Lotto Max draw on Mar. 2 will be approximately $24 million.
