Toronto Police are now calling an ever-changing investigation a homicide, and a charge related to murder has been laid.
Investigators said 33-year old mother of three, Amanda Killeen, went missing one week ago.
Police have never officially confirmed it was her who was killed in all this – they need the DNA results first – but Amanda’s cousin has been very public, saying she was murdered.
Toronto Police say what began as a missing person case, that became a suspicious death case, is now a homicide. And a man already charged with ‘indignity to a body’ is now also facing a charge of ‘accessory after the fact to murder.’ All centred around 291 George St. @680NEWS pic.twitter.com/GrLDxdDDxF

On Tuesday morning, around 4:00 a.m., officers came out to 291 George Street, near Jarvis and Dundas.
Whatever happened in a third-floor apartment there lead to officers fatally shooting a man, and a discovery that turned the missing person case into a suspicious death.
Forensic investigators took away garbage bins and bags from the scene and were later investigating at a waste facility on Commissioners Street.
59-year old Orson York, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with Indignity to a Human Body.
On Friday, police announced all this has become an official homicide case, and York is facing an extra charge: Accessory after the fact to murder.
Killeen’s cousin, Kaysha, organized a vigil outside 291 George, which started at 6:00 P.M. on Friday, February 26th. Roughly 50 people attended.

Kaysha has also launched a Go Fund Me campaign to help support Amanda’s mother, who is now raising the three children.
That fund is only up to about $5,500.
