Toronto saw a number of impaired driving arrests over the weekend

By News Staff

The City of Toronto saw a rash of impaired driving charges over the weekend after a number of drivers were allegedly caught operating vehicles under the influence.

Toronto Police Traffic Services says eight people were arrested, including two drivers with two prior impaired driving convictions and a driver that was almost four times the legal limit.

Another six drivers were given three day suspensions for having a ‘warn range’ reading.

The ‘warn range’ for Ontario is when a driver’s blood alcohol concentration (BAC) is over 0.05 but still below the federal maximum legal BAC of 0.08.
