Police searching for suspect connected to series of violent assaults in Toronto

By Lucas Casaletto

Toronto police are searching for a male suspect wanted in connection with several assaults taking place in the City.

Between January 19 and January 21, officers responded to numerous reports of assaults in the Yonge Street area between Sheppard Avenue and Finch Avenue, and in the Bathurst Street and Wilson Avenue area.

It’s alleged that a person is approached by a stranger and, unprovoked, the suspect launches a violent attack by striking victims in the head and or face.

Police say in some instances, the suspect continues to strike his victims until they fall to the ground and then flees the area.

The suspect is being described as approximately 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-9, 20 to 25 years of age, has a beard/goatee, a thin to medium build, and has black hair.

He was last seen wearing a black hooded jacket with grey interior lining in the hood, black pants, and black shoes with a white stripe around the sole.

Officers say the man is considered dangerous and should not be approached if spotted.

Investigators believe there may be more victims and are urging anyone with information to contact them.
