14-year old shot in Scarborough neighbourhood on January 7, 2021.

Police are investigating after a 14-year-old boy was shot in Scarborough and walked into a hospital.

Investigators say they believe the shooting occurred near Morningside Avenue and Sewells Road just before 1 p.m.

At least five to six shots were fired and it’s believed someone drove the boy to hospital.

What investigators still need to figure out is what happened between the boy and the suspect that lead to the shooting.

The boy is being interviewed in hospital – he was shot in the hip, suffering non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators would also like to speak to whoever brought the boy to that hospital.

Police are looking for a Black male who is six feet tall wearing a black puffy jacket, a grey hoodie, and black pants. He is allegedly armed with a handgun.

Police have already secured some video camera evidence here at the scene but they’re hoping for more.
