Man in stable condition after assault at Mississauga mall

One person has been rushed to hospital after an altercation at a mall in Mississauga.
Emergency crews were called to the scene at South Gateway Road Mall in the Eglinton Avenue East and Dixie Road area just after 9 a.m. Tuesday.
Police said the victim was assaulted by several suspects and a weapon may have been used.
The victim was rushed to a trauma centre with life-threatening injuries.
In an update, police said the male victim is now in stable condition.

There has been no word on what prompted the assault.
The plaza has been closed while police investigate.
