Reservations for Toronto’s outdoor rinks are filling up fast

By News Staff

NewsBookings for Toronto’s outdoor skating rinks are soaring as winter begins amid a second wave of COVID-19.

The city’s residents have made more than 32,000 reservations since the rinks first opened on Saturday.

Currently 49 of the 54 outdoor public rinks in the city are open, but it isn’t as simple as just showing up and putting on your skates.

Though the city does say walk-on spaces could be available for those who just show up, reservations are encouraged.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions no more than 25 people are allowed on the ice at a time and each person is given a 45 minute time-slot.

Reservations can be made online.
