Dubbed ‘Fleets‘, the new function was previously tested out across the globe, most notably in Brazil, Italy, India, and South Korea.

Similar to Instagram and Snapchat, ‘Fleets‘ include text, photos and videos, will be available at the top of users’ timelines.

Twitter also revealed that its developers are working on a live audio feature called ‘Spaces’, which will allow users to talk in group conversations.

Joined by Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Twitter’s co-founder and CEO, Jack Dorsey, is testifying in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee about social media and censorship.
