Why did the horses cross the road?

We may never know, but dozens of drivers are pondering that question today after a herd of horses broke free and ran on to Stouffville Rd between Warden and Kennedy Rds. in Whitchurch-Stouffville.

680’s Tim Chapman captured the odd event on video around 1:30 p.m. on Thursday.

There have been no reports of any injuries to the animals.
