COVID-19 outbreak declared at Scarborough General Hospital

A COVID-19 outbreak has reportedly been declared at another Toronto hospital.

In a memo obtained by toronto.com, six patients in a single unit at Scarborough General Hospital have tested positive for the virus.

The hospital has shut the unit down to admissions and visitors for a deep cleaning, and officials at the hospital said so far, no staff have been infected.

St. Michael’s Hospital declared a COVID-19 outbreak in its emergency department on Tuesday.

St. Joseph’s Health Centre and Toronto Western Hospital are also dealing with outbreaks.
