Oshawa father charged after 4-month-old son’s death ruled a homicide

An Oshawa father is facing a murder charge after his infant son’s death in 2019 was ruled a homicide.

On April 21, a four-month-old boy was taken to hospital with unexplained injuries. He died of his injuries days later.

Police were called into investigate. After working with the Corner’s Officer to determine his cause of death, officers arrested the infant’s father.

Tristan Daniel Piper, 24, has been charged with second-degree murder.

He has been held for a bail hearing.
