Ontario sets another COVID-19 daily case count record Friday

Ontario is reporting 939 new COVID-19 cases on Friday, and five new deaths.
On Thursday, the province reported 797 new COVID-19 cases and four deaths. There are 724 more resolved cases.
More than 44,900 tests have been completed, finding majority of the cases in the province’s hotspots: 336 cases in Toronto, 150 in the Peel Region, and 126 in Ottawa.
This comes after the province called for an emergency cabinet meeting on Friday morning, following Thursday’s staggering numbers.
