Jim Carrey to play presidential candidate Joe Biden on SNL

Jim Carrey will appear on Saturday Night Live a lot more this year.

The Canadian actor is set to portray Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden on SNL, NBC confirmed on Wednesday.

“SNL” also confirmed the show will be back in front of a live audience again.

Carrey, 58, has hosted “SNL” three times and appeared in the 40th anniversary special in 2015. He’s considered a surprising choice to play Biden, mainly because he’s not a part of the recurring cast.

The comedy series debuts on October 3.
