WATCH: Toronto police takedown suspected impaired driver on DVP

Toronto police say multiple officers are injured following an incident on the Don Valley Parkway.
Officers received a call from a woman travelling southbound on the DVP near York Mills reporting she was rammed multiple times by a man in a car.
Constable David Hopkinson says the man was impaired and pursued the woman, allegedly exiting the vehicle brandishing a machete, or a large knife.
“Our officers responded quickly and were able to catch up with the man and the woman southbound near Dundas. The officers attempted to stop that car, and he later rammed into a police cruiser.”
The suspect is now in custody. Two officers have been taken to hospital with minor injuries.
It’s unclear what charges, if any, will be laid.
