Mississauga man, 86, charged in alleged homicide of his wife, 81: Peel police

Peel police say they have charged a man in connection to an alleged homicide in Mississauga on Tuesday.

Peel police said they have charged an 86-year-old man in connection to the alleged homicide of an 81-year-old Mississauga woman.

Early Tuesday morning, police said a care provider found a deceased elderly woman in an apartment building on Kaneff Drive.

Police have identified the victim as Marion Wallace, 81, of Mississauga.

Later in the day, police arrested 86-year-old Lawton Wallace of Mississauga. He has been charged with first-degree murder in connection to the incident, police said.

“This is an isolated incident. Investigators are not seeking any outstanding suspects. The victim and the accused were married at the time of the incident,” police said.

The man is currently being held for a bail hearing, which will be on Wednesday in Brampton.
