Ontario confirmed 203 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday, a spike from the 135 cases reported yesterday.
In a tweet, Minister of Health Christine Elliott called the increase “concerning” and noted that 57 per cent of new cases are people 39 years old or younger.
The majority of new cases are in Peel, Ottawa and Windsor-Essex, Elliott said.
While one day of data, today’s increase is concerning. Ontarians of all ages need to continue to adhere to public health guidelines: maintain only one social circle of 10 people, physically distance with anyone outside of it and wear a face covering when doing so is a challenge.

One more person has died, bringing the death toll to 2,753.
The provincial total of confirmed cases now stands at 37,942 with 88.6 per cent considered resolved.
