Man, 73, charged in death of 72-year-old man in Etobicoke

A 73-year-old man has been charged with second-degree murder after a man was found dead at an apartment building in Etobicoke on Tuesday evening.

Police were called to the apartment on Royal York Road near Mimico Avenue just before 6:30 p.m. When they arrived on scene, they found a 72-year-old man suffering from obvious signs of trauma.

The man, identified as Djuro Orlovic, was without vital signs and was pronounced dead at the scene.

A post-mortem is scheduled for Thursday to determine the exact cause of death.

Janusz Rusin, of Toronto, has been arrested and charged.

Investigators say they would like to speak with anyone who has information on the whereabouts and movements of Rusin in the days prior.
