COLD CASE: Margaret McWilliam killer remains at large since 1987

On August 28, 1987 Margaret McWilliam’s body was found In Warden Woods Park in Scarborough.

She had been sexually assaulted, beaten and strangled in the attack. The 21-year-old had left her home in the Warden and St. Clair area around 7pm the day before to go for a jog, but never returned. Police were called when she did not show up for work the next day. Police do not believe she knew her killer. They say this was more likely a crime of opportunity.
Investigators have a DNA profile, but the killer remains at large.
