Toronto police are searching for a man they say is connected to the robbery and assault of an elderly woman in the Keele Street and Sheppard Avenue West area.
On Feb. 7 at around 2 p.m. police said they were called to an apartment building for a report of a robbery.
Investigators said an 87-year-old woman was entering the lobby of an apartment building in the area when an unknown male came up to her. The man threw the woman from her walker on to the ground and proceeded to rob her of a number of possessions, including memorabilia from her late husband.
The man was last seen fleeing the building from the front door.
Police described the suspect as wearing a dark puffy ‘Northface’ winter jacket with the hood up, a dark baseball cap with a gold round sticker on the top of the brim, a two-tone dark and light coloured scarf covering the lower half of his face. He was also seen with white coloured gloves, dark pants and black runners with white detailing.
Police are searching for this suspect and ask anyone with information to contact the police directly or leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers.
