Subway service has resumed on Line 2 between Pape and and St. George stations after a power shutdown during the morning rush.

The TTC said the shutdown was because of a power issue on the westbound track from Broadview to Yonge stations, which happened just before 7 a.m. on Thursday.

Shuttle buses were brought in to help riders get through the area.

Spokesperson Stuart Green said subway riders coming into the city from the east end coulduse their TTC fare to take GO Transit from Guildwood, Eglinton, Scarborough and Danforth stations during this disruption.

Regular service resumed around 9:30 a.m.
