Man seriously injured in Scarborough shooting

A man is in hospital with serious injuries after a shooting Monday evening in Scarborough.

Police were called to the scene at National and Jeanette streets, in the Midland and St. Clair avenues area, just after 7 p.m.

Witnesses told police the victim may have been walking down the street when he was shot, while others said he may have been in the car with the suspects and was shot after getting out.

The victim was taken to hospital in serious, but non-life-threatening condition.

A suspect was spotted fleeing the area with other males in a black or dark grey car.
