2 suspects wanted in Markham home invasion, shooting

Two suspects are wanted in connection with an armed home invasion in Markham that left a man with life-threatening injuries.

Police were called to the residence on Boxwood Crescent, south of Highway 407, just before 2 p.m. Monday.

A victim was found with multiple gunshot wounds and was rushed to hospital in life-threatening condition. His condition has since stabilized and he is expected to survive.

Other people were reportedly home at the time of the home invasion, but were not injured.

An investigation has revealed that around 1:40 p.m., a black four-door vehicle backing into the driveway of the home and two suspects got out and made their way into the residence. While they were inside the home, the victim was shot multiple times.

They later fled in the black vehicle.

The suspects are described as a male, six feet tall, wearing a grey hoodie, blue jeans and a blue bandanna covering his face and a male wearing a mask.
