Child, 1, seriously injured in explosion at Brampton residence

Peel regional police say a two-year-old child has suffered serious injuries in an explosion at a Brampton residence. Three adults also suffered minor injuries.

Peel regional police say a one-year-old child has suffered serious injuries in an explosion at a Brampton residence.

Three adults were also taken to hospital in moderate condition with burns.

Police say it happened just before 1:30 p.m. in the Humberwest Parkway and Cottrelle Boulevard area.

Neighbouring homes were evacuated.

Police say the scene is now under control. There’s no word yet on what caused the blast.
