Area of Scarborough rocked by more gun violence

A 26-year-old man is in critical condition in hospital after a shooting in Scarborough. 680 NEWS reporter Carl Hantske has the details from the scene.

A 26-year-old man suffered critical injuries after he was shot in Scarborough.

Toronto police were called to an apartment complex on Lawrence Avenue East, near Orton Park Road, around 1:15 a.m. on Friday.

Police said the gunman walked up to the victim, shot him, and then took off.

The victim made his own way to hospital, where he is now in stable condition.

There is no word on suspects.

This is the third shooting that took place in the same area this week, and the second one in just over 24 hours.

On Tuesday, a man walked into hospital after he was shot in the area of Lawrence and Mossbank Drive. Then on Thursday, a man was shot while he was sitting in his car near Lawrence and Scarborough Golf Club Road.
