Man shot in Scarborough parking lot in 14th shooting of long weekend

A shooting in Scarborough late Monday night left a man seriously injured. It was Toronto's 14th shooting of the long weekend. 680NEWS reporter Carl Hanstke explains.

A man who walked into a hospital with gunshot wounds is believed to be connected to a shooting incident in a Scarborough parking lot, the 14th of the long weekend.

Police were called to Lawrence Avenue and Mossbank Drive to reports of someone shot before midnight.

A male suspect allegedly fled the scene in a black SUV.

No victim was located on the scene, but a man with a gunshot wound who later walked into a local hospital is believed to be the victim of this shooting. He suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

This is the fifth reported shooting incident on Monday and the 14th of the long weekend. A total of 17 victims have been treated for gunshot wounds from these incidents.
