Durham police say they have charged a taxicab driver after he allegedly sexually assaulted a woman passenger who uses a wheelchair.

On July 14 at around 8:20 p.m. police said a wheelchair accessible taxi picked up a woman in Ajax.

When they reached the final destination in Oshawa, police said the man went into the rear of the vehicle and inappropriately touched the passenger.

Police said Syedbagher Moosavi, 40 of Toronto, was arrested and charged with sexual assault on Aug. 1. He was released on a promise to appear.
